We will be celebrating 2011 and the positive changes that have come to Butchertown. Food and drink will be provided but please bring a dish if you like. We will aslo be collecting membership donations and electing neighborhood representatives.

BRIGHTSIDE BUTCHERTOWN CLEAN UP
Hello, Butchertown!!
It's that time again!!! Brightside's annual Fall Clean-Up is scheduled for Saturday, October 22nd and we are on the list of neighborhoods to help them maintain the cleanliness of Louisville.
Butchertown is looking a little 'shaggy'....meet us at 1401 Quincy Street at 10am (come to the back gate/backyard) and have some cider and snacks, pick up your bags and gloves, and we will be on our way to get Butchertown ready for the beautiful fall weather to come!

What: Brightside Annual Fall Clean-Up (we are so VERY lucky as a city to have an organization such as this to sponsor these types of events!!)

DINE EVENT - April 9th
DINE is finally back. Its been a very busy last few months but absence makes the heart grow fonder.
For this DINE event, we invite you to participate in our Progressive Dinner.
Here's how it works:
Ever wanted to see your neighbors home? Lots of beautiful, historic homes in our little slice of heaven right? Well, on April 9th from 7 - 9 pm there are 4 homes that are being opened up for such an event.
For a small donation of 25 dollars/person, you will get your fill of drink, food, entertainment, and maybe even meet some new friends.
At 9pm all party goers will meet at SOHO lofts for a dessert/drink party wrap up with food provided by Cake Flour. www.cakeflouronmarket.com/

Butchertown Cleanup Sat. March 26
Its time for our annual Spring Clean in Butchertown. Anyone that would like to participate, please join us!!
We will be meeting at 1304 East Washington St. at 9:30AM for morning snacks and the cleanup will begin promptly at 10AM. Gloves, bags, and t-shirts will be available.
Feel free to bring any additional items you think you will need. (shovels, brooms, etc)

Interesting Turn of Events
As we are all aware, the proposed Ohio River Bridges Project will have a lasting effect on Butchertown. Today, the Federal Government announced that proposed revisions by Mayor Fischer and Governer Beshear will require a closer look. Take a look at a more in depth coverage here.
